Proposed Orange Line Extension to West Roxbury
TransitMatters, a nonprofit transit advocacy organization, released a 2023 report proposing an extension of the MBTA Orange Line from Forest Hills through Roslindale and West Roxbury. Under the proposal, Orange Line service would replace the existing Needham Line commuter rail service between Forest Hills and West Roxbury, with a potential further extension to VFW Parkway.
